Rules and definitions for Distinctions

The Danube International Photo Association awards the following types of Distinctions:

– Artistic Distinctions

– Excellence Distinctions
– Master Distinctions
– Honorable Distinctions

Artistic Distinctions:

ARTISTIC DISTINCTIONS
are awarded to members based on the number of accepted works given in the table:

Acceptances and titles are allowed from patronages under DIPA, FIAP and PSA. These can be in digital or printed form.

The number of titles and acceptances are cumulative from the first acceptance onwards.

There is no time limit for an application; each member can apply whenever he/she meets the criteria. The fee for individual distinctions is 50 EUR.

Members can apply for multiple distinctions simultaneously but the fee must be paid for all previous ones.
In these cases members are eligible to a 20% discount when applying for 3 or more distinctions.
A special package deal will apply in the case of applying for all ADIPA and EDIPA distinctions.


EXCELLENCE DISTINCTIONS
are awarded based on the number of works, acceptances and awards won according to the table:

There is no time limit for application; each member can apply when he meets the conditions.
Awards and titles are allowed from patronages under DIPA, FIAP and PSA. The fee for individual distinctions is 50 EUR.

Members can apply for multiple distinctions simultaneously but the fee must be paid for all previous ones.

Master distinctions are awarded based on the evaluation of the photo portfolio / collection.
The M DIPA collection consists of 20 photographs and the GM DIPA distinction portfolio consists of 30 photographs, different from M DIPA portfolio. The collections are evaluated by the DIPA Board of Directors.
All photos in the portfolio must be either in Color or Mono, landscape or vertical. Mixed are not accepted!
Portfolio evaluation is judged once a year. It is possible to apply for Master Distinctions only after obtaining the highest Excellence distinctions. The fee for individual distinctions is 50 EUR.

Honorable distinctions are awarded for contribution to the popularization of the association and it is awarded by the board of directors. These distinctions are awarded once a year on the basis of proposals from members or clubs.
