At the “Čubrilo” Gallery and Atelier in the Millennium Tower of Gardoš in Zemun, from 29th April to 9th May 2025, the second solo photography exhibition of Gligor Maksimovski from Kumanovo, titled “Illusion of Human Existence” was opened, showcasing 32 black-and-white portrait photographs.
The attending guests from Kumanovo and photography enthusiasts were welcomed by Borka Čubrilo, the director of the gallery and head of the artistic program. The author, Gligor Maksimovski, also gave a speech at the opening.
The exhibition was officially opened with a speech by Rajko R. Karišić, a friend and colleague, who also provided a brief overview in the exhibition catalog.
“…The portrait, as a favorite theme, yet a very demanding one, is clearly a subject of great interest and dedication for Gligor Maksimovski (1990) from Kumanovo (Republic of North Macedonia). On this occasion, he presents his second solo exhibition of artistic photography at the ‘Čubrilo’ Gallery and Atelier in the Millennium Tower of Gardoš in Zemun (Republic of Serbia), which exclusively promotes photographers and their photographic work. The author presents his research in photographic thinking on a given theme in the best possible way. The portraits he presents, clearly inspired and committed to photographic expression, speak to his ongoing interest in everyday life situations…”
The exhibition is organized by the Association for promotion of intellectual, multicultural and sports values – MOTUS from Kumanovo through its Photo Club “MOTUS”, under the patronage of the Photographic Association of Macedonia and the International Organization for Photography DUNAV (DIPA).
