20th anniversary edition of the Kukerlandia 2024 International Photo Contest

The 20th-anniversary edition of the Kukerlandia 2024 International Photo Contest has ended. The goal of the salon is to make the richest collection of photographs of the mystical creatures Kukeri, who appear on a specific day with a specific purpose in different places in Bulgaria. The competition is free and anyone following the competition status can participate for free. Each participant can send their five photos, without limitation of which country they are from, if they are a professional, if their photo is monochrome or color, etc. From all participating photographs, a total of 40 photographs pass the first vote. Judging is done in two parts, the second being at the time of printing and arranging in the exhibition hall by a five-member jury. All the photos in the salon have been nominated for various awards, medals, honors, and material prizes. This year, DIPA stepped in for the first year by providing patronage and a suite of awards and honors. A gold, silver, and bronze medal as well as a ribbon of honor were awarded.
